I ordered this as a birthday present for my husband who is rather keen on outdoor cooking, and it went down a treat. The presentation is impressive — the aluminium case looks smart and feels robust, and he was clearly pleased when he opened it. The tools themselves are of a noticeably good quality; the spatula in particular feels substantial and well-balanced. He's already put the digital thermometer to good use on a leg of lamb at our midsummer garden party, and said it's accurate and straightforward to read. The colourful skewers were a hit with the guests — everyone appreciated being able to identify their own. The wine opener is a thoughtful extra that you don't often see included. Bought this ahead of the summer barbecue season and it's been a very worthwhile purchase. The aluminium case is a proper touch — everything slots in neatly and it's easy to transport to the garden or a friend's. The spatula is well-made with a serrated edge and a built-in bottle opener, which is rather handy at a summer gathering. The tongs are sturdy and grip well, and the carving fork does the job nicely on larger cuts. I was pleased to find a digital thermometer included — takes the guesswork out of checking whether chicken or pork is properly done, which matters quite a lot. The colourful skewers are a fun addition for kebabs. All in all a solid, well-organised kit that covers everything you'd need for a decent barbecue. Good value for money.
